Found the Girassol to be a pleasant budget option right in the heart of Porto. The location is excellent, just a couple of blocks from Sao Bento Station, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Enjoyed the family room's layout, which provided some privacy for all members of our group with an extra bed in a separate area. Staff were helpful and spoke English well, which was a plus. The room had a flat-screen TV with many channels, including plenty of English options. the bed was extremely hard and not very comfortable for sleeping. The decor could use an update as well. the room felt a bit worn down. Some of the hotel features are a bit dated, such as the thin walls, which allowed for noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway.

The hotel is within walking distance to major attractions, which makes getting around Porto convenient. Consider bringing a portable charger, as USB ports are lacking.

The location is just perfect! ! Two blocks from the main station! Easy to stroll around and hit all the sights. My family had a room with an extra bed, giving us a little more space, which was great for some privacy.
